The Hakushu 12 year old Single Malt Whisky, which is highly regarded and a must-try for those interested in exploring Japanese whisky, comes from the Hakushu distillery owned by the world-renowned Suntory. Situated in the dark forests of Mt. Kaikomagatake, the distillery was originally constructed in 1973 and expanded in 1981 with the addition of Hakushu Higashi. This exceptional Japanese single malt embodies a fresh and foresty flavor profile that appears to reflect the lush forests that surround it. The whisky is aged for at least 12 years in virgin American white oak casks, producing a misty aroma of dewy foliage, crisp citrus, and honey. The palate is bursting with flavors of oranges, grapefruit, and oak, blended with macerated blueberries.
