Nose: Vanilla, earth, fresh barley, green bananas, pancake.

Palate: Custard, lime, pepper, lager, and some melon jam and apple liqueur.

Finish: Green oranges, sawdust, black tea, burnt caramel.

About this Chapter 7 Whisky

Dailuaine is a quiet, hard-working distillery that produces malt for Diageo blends. Only 2% of its output is marketed as single malts. You'll only find it as a single malt within the Flora & Fauna series, and thanks to releases. Which is a shame, as Dailuaine produces a fat and meaty malt thanks to long fermentation, fast distillation and the use of stainless steel condensers.
